PO-03-121 INITIAL PRECLINICAL ASSESSMENT OF LEFT ATRIAL ANATOMY IMAGING USING KODEX MAPPING SYSTEM WITH ULTRA-LOW TEMPERATURE CRYOABLATION AND PULSED FIELD CRYOABLATION CATHETERS: IMPLICATIONS FOR PROCEDURAL FLOW AND COSTS OF LEFT ATRIAL ABLATION PROCEDURES

چکیده
New emerging mapping and ablation technologies are examined to improve acute success of ablations, while minimizing procedure time cost. Both ultra-low temperature cryoablation (ULTC) pulsed field (PFCA) ablations shown create durable transmural lesions using mapping-capable catheters similar design, except for size, number spacing electrodes. The accuracy efficiency left atrium (LA) with a novel wide-band dielectric system (Kodex™, Philips, Inc) multielectrode capable delivering ULTC or PFCA is unknown. goal was test the anatomic rendering LA by Kodex catheter (iCLAS™, Adagio Medical) (Cryopulse™, compared map created decapolar circular (CMC, Lasso™, Biosense Webster) pre-ablation maps were obtained CMC, in swine. A Semi-Automated Algorithm for Segmentation of the Left Atrial Appendage Landing Zone: Application in Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion Procedures
Background: Mechanical occlusion of the Left atrial appendage (LAA) using a purpose-built device has emerged as an effective prophylactic treatment in patients with atrial fibrillation at risk of stroke and a contraindication for anticoagulation. A crucial step in procedural planning is the choice of the device size. This is currently based on the manual analysis of the “Device Landing Zone” fr...
متن کاملradiofrequency atrial fibrillation ablation technique in patients with mitral valve surgery and left atrial reduction procedures
background: about half of all patients who undergo mitral valve surgery suffer from atrial fibrillation (af). cox described the surgical cut-and-sew maze procedure, which is an effective surgical method but has some complications. this study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of a substitution method of radiofrequency ablation (rfa) for patients undergoing mitral valve surgery with af. metho...
متن کاملMapping and ablation of left atrial flutters.
BACKGROUND Typical right atrial isthmus-dependent flutters have been described in detail, but very little is known about left atrial (LA) flutters. METHODS AND RESULTS We performed conventional and 3D mapping of the LA for 22 patients with atypical flutters. Complete maps in 17 patients demonstrated macroreentrant circuits (n=15) with 1 to 3 loops rotating around the mitral annulus, the pulmo...
متن کاملLeft Atrial Anatomy in Patients Undergoing Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation.
Background: Left atrial anatomy is highly variable, asymmetric, irregular and three-dimensionally unique. This variability can affect the outcome of atrial ablation. A catalog of anatomic varieties may aid patient selection and ablation approach and provide better tools for left atrial ablation. Methods: We analyzed computed tomography scans from 514 patients undergoing left atrial ablation. Im...
متن کاملLimited posterior left atrial cryoablation in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation undergoing valvular heart sugery.
OBJECTIVES We sought to evaluate whether a limited surgical cryoablation of the posterior region of the left atrium was safe and effective in the cure of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with associated valvular heart disease. BACKGROUND Extensive surgical ablation of AF is a complex and risky procedure. The posterior region of the left atrium seems to be important in the initiation and m...
